POV: Dustin and Eddie Think the Converse Bag Is Theirs Now

POV: Dustin and Eddie think the Converse bag is theirs now — and honestly, they’re not wrong. We went to the outlet mall over spring break and somehow managed to buy 10 pairs of Converse shoes for our family of 7 for just $259 total. That’s a win any day of the week. But the real winners? These two. The boxes and bags from that haul kept Dustin and Eddie entertained for days — batting, tunneling, wrestling, repeat. If you’ve been following along, you already know these boys run this house. This video is 22 seconds of pure proof.

We went into the Converse outlet with a mission and came out victorious — 10 pairs of shoes for seven people, $259 out the door. That is a deal that would make any mom of five do a happy dance in the parking lot. We posted the full haul over on the Converse outlet haul post if you want all the details.

But here’s the thing nobody tells you about shopping hauls when you have cats: the bags and boxes are not yours. They never were. The moment those bags hit the floor, Dustin and Eddie claimed them. No discussion. No negotiation. Just two tabby kittens going absolutely feral over a paper shopping bag like it was the greatest gift anyone had ever given them.

And you know what? It kind of was.

They played with those bags and boxes for DAYS. Dustin would climb in, Eddie would attack from the outside. Then they’d switch. Then they’d both try to be in the bag at the same time, which — spoiler — does not work but they kept trying anyway. I don’t know what it is about a crinkly paper bag that turns a perfectly normal kitten into a tiny chaos machine, but here we are.

These boys have completely stolen our hearts. Every single day they do something that makes us laugh, and this was no exception. We are fully, completely, 100% cat people now. No going back.

If you’re a cat person too — or you’re thinking about becoming one — come visit Dustin & Eddie’s Picks on my Shop My Kitchen page. They’ve personally approved every single item. (Okay, they don’t know that. But they’d approve.)
