POV: Dustin Has Two Modes — Sweet Angel and Complete Chaos
Hey y’all — this is Dustin, and if you have been following along here at StephanieCooksForACrowd.com for any length of time, you already know that POV: Dustin Has Two Modes is not an exaggeration. It is a completely accurate description of daily life with this boy. Sweet, calm, utterly precious one moment — and then absolute unhinged chaos the next. No warning. No transition. Just vibes.
Dustin is one of our two tabby kittens — brothers, actually — and he has made himself completely at home here in Temple Terrace. He is the elder statesman of the two. He takes his neighborhood watch duties very seriously from the window. He has claimed approximately every basket and soft surface in this house as his personal real estate. He carries himself with the full confidence of a cat who knows he runs the place.
And then there is the other side of Dustin. The side where the music changes and suddenly he is absolutely unhinged. No pillow is sacred. His little brother Eddie barely has time to register what is happening before Dustin has launched a full surprise attack from out of nowhere. Classic POV: Dustin Has Two Modes content right there. According to the ASPCA, this kind of rough-and-tumble play between kittens is completely normal — all feline play consists of mock aggression, and brothers especially love to go at it. So Dustin is not a menace. He is developmentally on track. We are choosing to believe this.
We adore him completely, shenanigans and all. Honestly the chaos is half the entertainment around here.
