Daiso Haul — Hannah, a Friend, and So Many Pretty Things
Daiso haul! I’m going to be honest with you — I had no idea what I was getting into when we walked through those doors. If you’ve never been to a Daiso, the best way I can describe it is a Japanese Big Lots. It’s one of those stores where every single aisle has something that makes you stop and say “wait, I need that.” Or at least “wait, I WANT that.” Stephanie, Hannah, and one of Hannah’s friends spent an afternoon exploring, and let’s just say… we did not walk out empty-handed.
The moment we walked in, the store completely won us over. There were rows and rows of kitchen items, stationery, home goods, snacks, and things I didn’t even know I needed. The aesthetic is fun, colorful, and honestly just delightful — and the prices are unbelievably low for what you’re getting.
Hannah and her friend were great shopping companions. They had opinions about everything (in the best possible way), and honestly it made the whole trip more fun. When you’re surrounded by pretty things, you need people who will get just as excited as you do.
The Haul
Here’s what made it home with us:
A cat-print Daiso tote bag that Dustin and Eddie would absolutely claim if they could. It’s yellow with dark blue cat silhouettes all over it and it’s adorable. A gorgeous ramen bowl with a red rim and dragon detail — the text on the video says “oh, okay, you got me” and that is exactly what happened. Two black soup spoons that are just sleek and perfect. A set of cat-themed bamboo chopsticks because of course we got the cat ones. And the best part? Japanese snacks for the kids’ Easter baskets! Finding unique, fun snacks that the kids haven’t tried before is one of my favorite Easter basket moves, and Daiso delivered big time.
Is Daiso Worth It?
One hundred percent yes. I will absolutely be back. Whether you’re looking for kitchen finds, cute gifts, or just a really fun afternoon of browsing, Daiso is worth the trip. If there’s one near you, go. You will not regret it. (Fair warning: you will probably spend more than you planned. That’s just the Daiso experience.)
