POV: All My Babies Are Under One Roof Tonight 🏠💛
There are moments in a mama’s life that stop you in your tracks — like when your college kids come home for spring break and all five of your babies are finally under one roof again. This is one of them. All my babies are under one roof tonight and I could not be more grateful.
Our college kids came home from the dorms yesterday for spring break. Yes, we live exactly one mile from campus. And yes, we still count it as a victory every single time they walk through that door.
Hannah is our oldest and in her last year of college. Kira is a junior. They are two of our four adopted children and watching them grow into the incredible young women they have become takes our breath away every single day.
Jonathan, Alexander, and Olivia were absolutely over the moon to have their big sisters home. Jonathan in particular — snuggle time with Hannah and Kira is one of his favorite things in the whole world, and he was not shy about claiming it immediately.
Dustin and Eddie were also very pleased about the extra attention. Obviously.
So yes — I may have put on my Buddy Baseball shirt and danced in circles. You would too. When all five of your babies are under one roof, you dance.
Welcome home Hannah and Kira. The whole house is better when you’re in it. 💛
Spring break in the Longstreth house means a full table, a loud living room, and a mama who couldn’t be happier. This is exactly what we prayed for when we started this family — and we never take a single moment of it for granted. 💛
