Wanna Join Me for Breakfast Saturday? Here’s What’s in This Week’s Newsletter
Wanna join me for breakfast Saturday? I hopped in the car this week to share what’s coming in this Saturday’s newsletter — and honestly, it’s one of the best ones yet. We have my mother-in-law’s baked beans, a whole feature on Jonathan’s amazing week, and a few exciting things in the works for the channel. If you haven’t signed up yet, I’d love to have you at my table!

Every Saturday morning I send out a little newsletter — it feels like a note from my table to yours. This week’s is packed. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s inside:
Recipe of the Week: Mama’s Baked Beans
I call her Mama, but she’s technically my mother-in-law — and her baked beans are legendary. We recently made them in her magical bean pot, and if you haven’t seen that video yet, you need to watch She Only Makes Baked Beans in This Pot — it is a whole story. The recipe is going to be the featured recipe this Saturday, and it is so good.
Jonathan’s Amazing Week
This week’s newsletter also features a special section on Jonathan — our son with Down syndrome who is fed by g-tube and runs entirely on ice water and joy. Jon had his last Buddy Baseball game of the season and closed it out with a home run that had us all on our feet. Then we got to take him to a Rays game at Tropicana Field, and it was more meaningful than I can even put into words. And if you haven’t heard Jonathan’s adoption story — the one where he personally got to tell it — that’s in there too. He is truly one of a kind.
What’s Coming Up
I also share a little preview of some things we’re working on behind the scenes — new recipes, new content, and maybe even a giveaway or two. The newsletter is the best place to hear about those things first.
Already Signed Up? Check Your Spam!
If you signed up but never got a confirmation email, please check your spam folder. There’s a double opt-in step — you have to click “confirm” in that email before you’re officially in. Once you do, it’ll say “You’re at my table!” and you’ll start getting newsletters every Saturday at 7am. If you can’t find it, you can also just sign up fresh right here and start from scratch.
The newsletter is free, it’s short, and it goes out every Saturday morning. Recipes, family life, sourdough updates — a little bit of everything from my table. I’d love to have you there. According to MailerLite, our open rate is well above average, which just tells me you all are actually reading it — and that makes me so happy.
And since we’re talking about Jonathan — I have to mention his favorite thing in the whole world: ice water. Because Jonathan is fed by g-tube, ice water is basically his cuisine. He is obsessed with it. We got him a nugget ice maker and it has genuinely changed his life. It makes those soft, chewable nugget ice cubes, and it has a dispenser lever he can use all by himself. If you have someone in your life who loves ice water as much as Jon does, you need to know about this. Find it in Jonathan’s section on my Shop My Kitchen page.
