Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix plus eggs, oil, and water per package directions
- ¼ cup water (per brownie mix instructions)
- 2 large eggs (per brownie mix instructions)
- ½ cup avocado oil or vegetable oil (per brownie mix instructions)
- ⅓ to ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 12 scoop Vanilla ice cream or your favorite flavor (1/2 cup per sundae)
- 24 tbsp Chocolate syrup 2 tbsp per sundae

Method
- Preheat oven and prepare your 9x13 baking dish according to the box directions.
- Mix the brownie batter according to package directions.
- Stir in 1/3 to 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips.
- Pour into the prepared 9x13 pan and bake according to package directions.
- Cool completely before cutting.
- Serve topped with a scoop of ice cream and a generous pour of chocolate syrup.

Stephanie uses avocado oil in place of vegetable oil — either works. Pull the brownies at the lower end of the time range for extra fudginess. The brownies can be made a day ahead and stored covered at room temperature. Add ice cream at serving time only.
The chocolate chip trick works with any box mix — fudge brownie, dark chocolate, or classic. Semi-sweet chips are the right call; they balance the sweetness without going bitter.
